Hoewel Microsoft beseft dat het nog heel wat werk voor de boeg heeft om de CSS-standaard correct te ondersteunen, zal dat nog niet voor de eerste definitieve versie van IE7 zijn. IE7 RC1 is featurecompleet, wat betekent dat er geen grote wijzigingen meer gepland zijn en enkel nog bugs opgelost zullen worden.
